National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago

National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, where a delightfully Mediterranean and island climate reigns, which favors the growth of beautiful evergreen plants with very small flowers such as broom. National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago: where it is located

Established in 1996 on National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago is located off the coast of Tuscany and extends for 16,856.00 hectares on land and 56,766.00 at sea in an area that embraces 50% of the island of Elba and 40% of the island of Giglio, 80% of the island of Capraia and 100% of the smaller islands. National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago: Pianosa

Fifth island of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, Pianosa it extends for 10.2 square kilometers about 14 km south-west from the coasts of the Island of Elba, 40 km east of Corsica. Pianosa is the lowest island of the archipelago, has rocky coasts with many cliffs so let's not go there in search of beaches, but of an adventure nature and rocks.

On the other hand, it is covered by a rich and typical Mediterranean scrub where they stand out mastic, rosemary, the Phoenician juniper and the spazzaforno, a rare shrub that is found mainly in poor and rocky soils. Pianosa is the island of National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago more suitable for lovers of birdwatching who will find flying bee-eaters, intertwining withhoopoe and glides.
